7 facts about me

I'm suppose to do this tag long time ago, but took a while to finish it. Sorry, Mardhiah12! Here it is - 7 facts about me:

1. I am Kakngah to my family; I'm the second child out of eight. My mum is a SAHM who is now having a diverse motherhood portfolio. My Kaklong and I, each with two kids consults her a lot on raising children and other homemaking advises, but at the same time she also ferries my younger brothers to school and checks on their homework. My youngest brother is eight years old, my mum was 45 when she gave birth to him! A supermum she is. My dad is a chemistry lecturer, he is a wise man and a seasoned academic. Mok and Ayoh, as we call them, are from Trengganu, but I've been raised in Selangor.

2. I am Sayang to my wonderful hubby habibi (MHH). We got married when I was 22, in the summer holidays before our final year at university (we were coursemates). He shares the same profession as my dad, but in different field. MHH is a private person, I ask him to edit/approve certain posts which may be personal, including this one.

3. I am Ummi to my two bright, adorable, and cute kids: Munief, 28 months old and Afiefah, 6 months old. I miscarried once, and waited (anxiously) for quite awhile before I conceived Munief. I'm loving motherhood to bits, keen to learn about parenting, and am honest enough to admit that there are moments when I feel like getting away from it all.

4. I am an employee in an MNC who sponsored my tertiary education. I read engineering back in uni, and did some engineering in my first assignment, but is now doing some business analysis job, which I like more than the engineering one. My not-so-secret ambition is to be a WAHM, but I haven't quite worked out the 'W' bit. My secret dream is to invent/design something and then market it successfully (think Dyson). But this is more like ‘angan-angan’ than a ‘real ambition’. I recently started a small venture, Simplisiti Resources in an effort to jump out of my comfort zone and try something new, who knows - it could be the 'W' I'm looking for.

5. I am an introvert, I could be painfully shy among people especially strangers. Social events with colleagues or acquantainces often leave me drained of energy. But the opposite is true when I'm around people I'm close to. I like to daydream or ‘berangan’, in vivid details, of things I wish or hope to see or experience. Visualisation - that’s the word they use nowadays, I think.

6. I love to read, fiction especially, but others too. I like to write - I keep many journals (separate ones for personal, parenting etc), most of them offline, though I rarely find the time to jot down my thoughts recently. Sometimes I like to experiment in the kitchen (sometimes being the operative word here hehe). I enjoy travelling and sightseeing, but with family (or friends), not alone. I enjoy words and numbers games. I like arts. I enjoy food. A lot.

7. I am a Muslim, and I love Islam!

Wow I've never revealed this much personal info before! Well, this can be considered a 'special post' in conjunction with my second anniversary of blogging lah :) Rasa macam lari tajuk pulak, this should be titled: Describe myself in 7 ways!
