Proton MPV

I first heard about the ‘Name the Proton MPV’ contest over at the radio about two weeks ago. I was quite excited by the prospect of (Malaysians) having the option of cheaper MPV (not that I’m looking at buying an MPV now). The Proton MPV is expected to be launched end of March 2009. I hope (for the sake of Proton) that this car will be as successful as Persona and the new Saga. I quite like the look of the new Saga, by the way.

But I’m digressing. I was talking about the contest. The winner gets an MPV, no kidding! So try your luck here! The contest is open until 30 September 2008. Other than the name itself, you would also need to give a tagline and rationale. I already have 3 or 4 names in mind, but I have yet to come up with the tagline and rationale.

In the meantime, below is a rendered image of the MPV, taken from Paul Tan’s automotive blog. Not bad at all, right? I also learnt from his blog that Perodua will also come up with their MPV later next year.
