Buku buku buku!

Book Xcess in Amcorp Mall is going to have their book sale from 26 Nov to 2 Dec (thanks DrWati for the heads up). Novels usually selling at over RM30 will be sold from as a low as RM8! Hmm… I wonder how much I should spend for this sale. Details below:

Next is about MPH Online. They were down for a few weeks (months?) recently for an upgrade and is now back for business! I noted that they have included several links, including their own blogs and a community forum. MPH Click give out information such as sessions with authors, best-selling novel/non-fiction for the week, as well as discount coupons for certain books. Book Galaxo run contests. I don’t really understand why they have two separate blogs though, it would be simpler for readers to follow a single blog. As for the shopping part itself, I notice they give a bit more information on each books, with tabs for editor review, customer review etc, though most of those stays blank. Otherwise, it’s about the same. Browse and browse and browse, I found several books that I’m interested in selling at a discount. And as icing to the cake, they are offering free delivery to Peninsular Malaysia locations from 23 to 30 November. Yay!

Not to forget, PTS is having a big end-of-year contest “Saya Mahu Hadiah PTS!” from 21 November 2009 to 3 January 2010. I shall not attempt to list down the prizes here, but it’s enough to mention that the grand prize is RM10,000 worth of their books (plus a plasma TV)! Check out their contest site here.

And lastly, I’d like to sell off (‘recycle’?) some of my books so that I can fund my next book splurges! Please see photo below. All books are in good condition (pages of The Rule of Four is yellowish though), going at RM15 each inclusive of postage, or RM60 for all. Anyone interested? I’m also open for book-for-book swap.

This is not adding value, but I *have* to show this, don't I? Heheh.. My catch at the Book Xcess sales - 8 books at RM71 total. All the books cost RM8 (including hardcovers) except the bottom-most one, which is RM15. I hope I'll like the books I picked. One skill one need at this kind of sales is to 'judge a book by its cover', so to speak.
