MPH warehouse sale
I went to the MPH warehouse sale during Friday lunchtime earlier today. Parking was a problem - I think I parked and walked more than a kilometre away (oklah, can cover the 10 minutes exercise quota for the week hehe). It wasn’t too crowded, and I think that was partly contributed by the improved arrangements (compared to my last visit there). I spent about an hour there and chose the following books. MHH and I had agreed on a limit, and I’m proud to say I managed to stick to it. (Although there’s just so many more books I would have liked to buy!) The not-so-proud fact I have to admit, is that I haven’t even finished reading all the books bought during the April bookfair! Huhu.. it seems that I buy books at a rate higher than I could actually read them. (As MHH reminds me often when I tell him the list of books I want to buy).

The best buys amongst these is Duma Key (specially for MHH, Stephen King is one of his favourite authors), which was published in 2008 and is a hardcover. I bought it for RM20, compared to the full price of RM89.90. Another one is The Complete Chronicles of Narnia – only RM15 for the 7-in-1 very very thick book!
Most books are sold at RM20, including all those Cecilia Ahern, Sophie Kinsella, Lauren Weisberg, Jodi Picoult etc. I do want to read these chick-lits (eh Jodi Picoult bukan chick-lit kot) but I can’t bring myself to buy them (even at RM20!) because I’m such a cheapskate – I rarely buy books which I think I’ll only read once. Does anyone wants to swap books with me? Hehe.. Oh, the warehouse sale will be on until Monday 27th October, by the way.

jom kita exchange buku! i hv both books tu. i choose a book of yours, nnt hantarkan sekali dgn pinkayu as per email dulu tu? let me know how much then i'll transfer.. then when i'm finished, i'll post it back together with the 2 books. how does that sound? unless mmg awak nak beli for keepsake lah..
