Financial analysts
I wonder... since a financial or investment analyst performs analysis on financial data of companies in order to recommend investing decisions (to their employer), does it follow then, that he/she would also be a good personal investor? (given that they're good financial analysts) How far would they be able to use the tools and resources available on their job to make a personal investing decisions?

that's me. seriously working as financial analyst, rasa pening boss nak buat stail itu la, stail ini la deep dive nyer. sampai kita nak kena selam bukan sekadar dasar laut, mungkin dalam tanah dasar laut tu sekali.
personal investing decision? hmm, interesting. i think i can relate to it, kalau ada investment yang hype, aida selalu buat deep dive about it first.. malas nak gopoh

macam mana nak buat pelaburan saham ye? kena cari remisier/broker? where to find the financial data? if remisier/broker gets commissions from ppl investing through them, why don't don't we hear more abt them looking for customers (like unit trust/insurance agents)?

haah kena cari remisier / broker.. biasanya sham ni, customer akan cari, not the other way around. so of course, the remisier does not work like isurance agent..
i have made bad investing decision in my life. but if u wsnt to invest, i would suggest gold.
i would not recommend unit trust, sbb dah byk experience duit pelaburan tak pulang modal langsung. better u put it in tabung haji, which is way safer.. and paling menguntungkan atas faktor th has a very high cash reserve sbb dia tak offer like other conventional banks

nope. kitorg mana ada buat investment. the closest thing my dept (being sales & marketing) does is probably to evaluate credit-worthiness of a potential customer, ie to analyse their financials to estimate what is the risk diorang tak bayar hutang..
