Teka benda

Sometime ago, we faced a short blackout at home. While waiting, I played teka-teka with my kids.

“Benda apa, bentuk bulat, waktu malam kita boleh tengok dia kat langit?”
“Binatang apa, warna hijau, ada empat kaki, dia lompat-lompat macam ni (tiru aksi lompat dengan tangan)?”
“Buah apa, kulit luar warna hijau, isi dalam warna merah, besar, kita potong untuk makan macam ni (tiru aksi makan)? Selalu ada bila pergi kenduri, Munief suka buah ni.”
“Binatang apa, boleh terbang, kecil, kalau dia gigit kita, kita rasa gatal?”

For Fifa, the questions were much simpler, but I have to warn Munief to give his sister the chance to answer these questions.

“Binatang apa, bunyi miauu?”
“Buah apa, bulat, warna oren?”

Munief enjoys this game. He’d say, “Lagi, ummi.”

I then asked him to reverse the role. Munief tanya, Ummi teka. His question?

“Benda apa, naik buai, naik weee (gelungsur)?” :)

This guessing game is similar to ‘I Spy with My Little Eyes’ game, except that the ‘object’ need not be seen. The good thing about this simple game is that it requires no tool at all, so it's great for car journeys for example. Another similar game that I like to play with my kids is to draw things (usually using the magnetic board) and asking them to guess what it is. I’m not that good at drawing, my cows sometimes looks more like dogs, but it’s still good fun. :)
