We need to be represented everywhere
We need to be represented everywhere.
We need to be in the governments, all the departments, all the states. We need to be leaders, politicians, representatives, policymakers, economists, thinkers.
We need to be in education, from early childhood including infant daycare, to kindergartens, schools, universities. As teachers, lecturers, administrators, policymakers (designers).
We need to be in healthcare, as doctors, nurses, officers, administrators, pharmacists, public health officers, specialists in all the fields.
We need to be in constructions, as contractors, engineers, builders, suppliers, safety & QC officers. This is our country, we need to build it.
We need to be in the legal structure, the judiciary system, civil and syariah, as practitioners.
We need to be in banking, finance, insurance (takaful).
We need to be in agriculture, farming, fishery.
We need to be in public service, police, fire and rescue department, army.
We need to be in manufacturing, processing, wholesales/supply, retail – the whole chain. We need to make our food – all sorts of food: from staples like rice and bread to biscuits, snacks, drinks, and clothes, appliances. Everything.
We need to be in the transportation industry. Automotive, public transport, distribution - moving people, moving goods. From design and manufacture, to parts, to distribution (sales) to the servicing, repair and maintenance industry.
We need to be in the media – radio, television, papers, magazines, digital media. We need to be in publishing industry, to be producing books – writers, authors, editors, translators, publishers, distributors and retailers. We need to produce films and dramas and documentaries and music and arts and paintings. These are the things that imparts values and cultures and mould mindsets, consciously or otherwise.
We need to be in communications, technology, industries, businesses, corporate.
We need good people everywhere. Good people who don’t get ‘absorbed and diluted’ in the system, but good people who strive and believe in making changes. Good people who stand up to their principles and fear nothing but God.
Not only do we need to be everywhere - we need to be in positions to make decisions, to be change agents, to make impacts, to build a culture of honesty, integrity, and respect, to improve continuously to become better and better. Not a single one of us can create the vital difference we need to, but together, given time – we can. Don’t just complain from the outside, do something and make the changes. We can all contribute towards a better nation, a better ummah. May Allah help and guide us, insyaAllah.

i agree with you. one problem with making everyone having a degree is that they become choosy indeed. having a degree is OK, but most malaysians wanted a degree where they can secure work fast, neglecting other aspects such as child care, agriculture etc.
kalau kat developed countries, kerja2 childcare, agriculture etc pun berpendapatan tinggi, and org2 yg ada degree pun go into those.. hopefully aspirasi negara utk transform jd negara berpendapatan tinggi (without harga barangan naik to offset) akan jadi kenyataan...
betul tu. yang tak bestnya, ada yang memilih untuk jadi cikgu because it's comfortable job, with pensions, but lacking the attitude to educate the children.
with the cost of living spirals up, we tend to sometimes forgo quality for the sake of searching cheaper alternative. sigh...
