Aku sebuah kereta

One of the many things I’m not good at, is maintaining my car. MHH has to keep reminding me that I should periodically check the water and lubricants level, but I never seem to remember – believing that the servicing done once every three months is sufficient.

One day, my father and I were heading somewhere in my car. He asked “Do you keep a logbook for this car?” “Yes,” I quickly answered (pleased that I was able to say yes). I took the logbook from the dashboard (he was driving, not me) and read out loud one entry: Date so and so. Rear left tyre experienced unexplained side puncture (about 0.5 cm in size). Spare tyre used to replace punctured tyre temporarily. New tyre bought (RM145) at Bengkel Lee.

My father laughed. He said “You might as well title the logbook: Aku sebuah kereta!” Errkk?! That sounds more like a narration than a report ke?

SELINGAN SATU: One day, I was driving to work to when I noticed that the car in front of me has the plate number “WAS 20”. I smiled. Because what immediately came to mind was: “Now 40+”.
