I gave up
... on potty-training Munief, that is (for now). After three days, there are no signs of progress. In fact, it actually got worse. The thing is, pandai pulak dia cakap things like:
"Eh, pakai nappy dulu," when I put on his seluar (without a diaper).
There's one time when I try to explain to him "Munief dah besar. Tak payah pakai nappy." And his answer? "Nappy Munief besar. Muat."
Whenever I asked "Munief, nak kenc*** tak?" he would answer "Tak nak."
When I asked "Munief, nak kenc*** bagitau Ummi ok?" pun he would answer "Tak nak."!
Laaa - kalau memang dah takde 'intention' nak bagitau Ummi, macammana?
So I guess it's not just a matter of 'he's ready to be potty-trained when he can speak'. My friend's daughter (yes, you - the one who rarely leave a footprint recently hehe ;p) was 'semi'-trained (daytime, at home) before she was two, and before she could talk, just by non-verbal communications.
Maybe Munief is not ready yet, still comfortable with the convenience of diapers, or perhaps I need to be more strict and stern with him, like 'punishing' him for 'accidents' so that he learns that it's the wrong thing to do (I so don't want to do that). Maybe I didn't persevere enough, and am trying to find excuses.. Hmm.
