The little boy who washed the dishes
The title of this post refers to Munief (see photo above). My grandma chose (or rather maintained) the DIY style for my uncle’s (my mum’s youngest brother) walimah. The family and neighbours did everything, the gotong-royong style. I did the dishes during the walimah itself (there were limited number of plates and glasses, so they had to be washed immediately for the next guests to use). And to my delight, Munief helped. And he didn’t just ‘main air’ either, he really rinsed the glasses and placed them in the drying basket. I’m so proud of him :)
And the next day, Munief and Fifa went on a passengers boat for the first time (eh, to think of it, Munief had been on a smaller boat back in 2006 when he was just 10 months old). We crossed the kuala from Seberang Takir to Kedai Payang. I’m glad to see the kids had enjoyed the ride. Oh, kami memang orang ‘darat’ (jakun).
And here’s a photo of Fifa during MHH’s cousins’ reception, held at Kelab Tasik Putrajaya, a week earlier. A cute girl in cute pink dress, holding a white rose - doesn’t that make a great composition? :)

fifa had grown up! rasa mcm hari tu tgk dia, kecil je lagi
Hmmm lovely kids & lucky you!
Agenda cuti sekolah padat dengan 'bekwoh'...some of my relatives dari KL headed for kelantan stranded berbelas jam di merapoh due to lori kontena terbalik melintang. Massive traffic jam (about 10km long)...so patah balik KL tanpa hadir kenduri kahwin di kampung!
ummu auni afif,
oh they do grow up fast! lg pun kita jumpa hari tu, dah almost a year ago.. how time flies :)
suraiya,
mmg padat. kenduri ni buat weekday (isnin) pun ghama sungguh oghang maghi.. kesiannya, sampai kena patah balik. takde alternative route ke?
mcam anak bujang2 yg dah beso.. dia basuh pinggan mangkuk tu... hehheh
rizza,
bestnya kalau anak bujang beso2 still basuh pinggan. my mum selalu cakap, masa kecik ni rajin lah nak tolong, karang dah besar dah tak rajin! haha that's a parenting skill i guess - 'how to get your teens to help with household chores'. not there yet, but nothing wrong with pondering (or strategizing) from now :)
aduh... comelnya anak2 ni...
siap basuh pinggan lagi.
but that 'holding the white rose' thing really captured my heart!
ipohmom,
alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for our penyejuk hati..
